ABOUT ME

This little corner of the internet is the product of many late-night thoughts, a little too much wine, a pen running freely across an old notebook, and nights out with my girl friends. Please, sit down, drink a glass of wine. I am glad you’re here.

Hi. Happy Monday 👋🏽
The Queen’s Gambit, but instead of chess we’re playing Clue, and I’m Miss Scarlett 💋 what is your favorite board game? Mine would probably be Cards Against Humanity 😂
When the food bae ordered looks so much better than yours and now you’re side-eyeing him in the hopes he gets the hint and gives you his plate
No matter what, embrace the wonderful chaos of life with laughter and humor. Your joy totally drives the haters mad
Self portraits this close-up always make me so uncomfortable because I can see all my flaws: my acne scars and my big pores and the bump on my broken nose and the bags under my eyes and the absolute lack of bone structure and... rather than stay paralyzed, I have learned that there is one trick to not giving a f*ck: realize that no one really cares, and if they do care enough to shame you for it... they’re a fan, baby 😉 .
So, here’s the thing: I carved this tiny oasis in this vast corner of the internet to put on writing all the thoughts I don’t get the chance to say out loud: 3am musings about beauty, and life, and art, and poetry, and books... and somewhere along the line I lost sight of this and started diluting my words to please an audience that, frankly, won’t even like what I offer anyway. I crave beauty and romance, raw and a little bit reckless: truths spoken after one too many glasses of wine, walking home at 6am after dancing all night, kiss-bitten lips, a good book, a beautiful song— and that’s what I offer here. However, all I see is glitz and shine; superficial, all of it, really. And maybe it’s naive of me to expect more from a social media app but I know I’m not the only one who seeks a connection that goes beyond the top 10 coffee spots in the area or the latest instaworthy sensation. So I guess I am challenging you, dear reader—my unintended audience— to be real: to feel, rather than see; to connect and create bonds, rather than be an uncaring spectator. What I try to offer you is my own personal brand of art. And art is meant to make you feel something. .
